UX Strategist, Product Designer & Design Mentor

Hello, I'm Fenil 🙋🏼‍♂️

For 12+ years, I’ve been designing at the intersection of innovation, systems, and human-centered thinking—transforming telecom, healthcare, and enterprise challenges into intuitive experiences. I thrive where strategy meets creativity. As a mentor, I champion designers in finding their voice, refining their craft, and designing with empathy at the center.

"We were often working to tight deadlines which Fenil routinely met and supported consistent communication throughout the process.”

Fenil and I worked closely together at StrategyCorp for nearly three years, throughout which he was effective team member with creative ideas and the ability to produce high quality design work within timelines and budgets. During my time at StrategyCorp, I served as an Associate consultant as well as the Director of Operations for the firm’s new think tank, the StrategyCorp Institute of Public Policy and Economy. Fenil and I mostly collaborated on Institute related projects, which included designing research reports, podcast promotional materials, and monthly newsletters using Mail-chimp. Fenil supported all Institute related content since it launched in October 2019 and I have always been impressed with his creative ideas, time management, and professionalism. He was responsible for the design work for the overall branding of the Institute, this includes the logo and website content. In my role with the Institute, I produced four seasons of our podcast, Intended Consequences, as the project manager. Fenil created the podcast logo and original promotional materials for over 35 episodes which included still images, audio clips, as well as video production. We were often working to tight deadlines which Fenil routinely met and supported consistent communication throughout the process. Fenil additionally showed initiative when Institute leadership decided to add video production to our podcast, in which Fenil upskilled to meet new needs. I strongly recommend Fenil to any organization, he will be an invaluable member of your team.

"Fenil had the difficult job of turning my vague design and thematic ideas into concrete graphics, clear formatting, and a compelling visual narrative"

Fenil and I worked closely together at the Institute for Public Policy and Economy (StrategyCorp's market-facing thinktank) on the organization's inaugural whitepaper, "The Future of Ontario's Workers", for which I was a co-author and the Research Lead and Fenil was the Graphic Designer. This was a very important project for the Institute and for StrategyCorp, as it would set the tone and format of and expectations for what would become the Institute's primary product and value-proposition to clients (i.e. client-sponsored whitepapers on Canadian policy issues). Fenil joined the project during its second half (~4 months into the project), when the rough copy of the 60+ page whitepaper was more or less complete and and needed to be turned into a fully-designed, client-ready and public-facing publication. During the ~3-4 months we worked together on this project, Fenil was a fantastic resource and team player. Fenil had the difficult job of turning my vague design and thematic ideas into concrete graphics, clear formatting, and a compelling visual narrative. As a thinktank that seeks to breakdown complicated policy ideas for a government audience, it was crucial that the final document be extremely user-friendly, easy to ready, and graphically engaging. On all of these fronts, Fenil delivered to great effect. He was even able to recreate beautiful graphs from secondary sources - without having access to the original microdata - while maintaining StrategyCorp's corporate format. Given that this was the Institute's first whitepaper, Fenil had to pay meticulous attention to detail, as he was not just designing a single publication but rather was effectively designing the entire corporate branding of the Institute. Fenil succeeded in doing this with great results. Given the multitude of third-party stakeholders involved in this project and ongoing feedback from the client, my co-author and I were constantly changing the text well past the design "completion" date. Every change we made would cause a ripple effect throughout the document, forcing Fenil to redesign each page with every edit (minor or major) we made. Fenil showed enormous patience in this, and worked well into the early hours of the morning on several occasions (including weekends) to ensure we would have a final product that would exceed our client's expectations several-fold. Having previously worked with other designers on various projects, I can attest that Fenil was by far the most flexible and hardest-working I had the pleasure of working with. I recommend him without reservation.
